The God of The Abnormal - Habakkuk 1:5, Isaiah 55:8-9

Summary of Sermon

God does things that are not normal all the time. He is not governed by the laws of physics or gravity because He invented them. So, He can simply not do them. As such we see that God uses crazy things and situations to get the Word out.

This past week, I saw Hulk Hogan sharing the Gospel with one of the biggest podcast hosts of our time. This man normally speaks badly about Jesus and the Bible, but there was Hulk Hogan quoting John 3:16 for him and for his 200,000,000 followers.

In Numbers 22:21-39, God uses a donkey to speak and save a disobedient prophet’s life.

In Daniel 4, God uses a pagan king, Nebuchadnezzar to proclaim that there is no God but the God of Israel. Nebuchadnezzar was no longer a pagan, but a believer by the end of Daniel 4.

In 2 Kings 7:1-13, God uses 4 lepers and their footsteps to scare an army and provide food for his people. See verses 5-6, God had caused the army to hear the sound of an army coming, but it was just the footsteps of 4 lepers. God is supernatural and He is never out of ideas and/or resources.

How can God use you if you would just surrender to Him?
