Summary of Sermon

We really went back and focused on verses 5-6 again to begin, God promises to ‘never leave us nor forsake us’. As you may recall, this very short statement has 5 negatives in it: ‘I will no, never leave, never, no, never will I forsake you.’ In the AMP Bible, we see an expanded version of this, I WILL NEVER (under any circumstances DESERT YOU (nor give on you, nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless), NOR WILL I FORSAKE or LET YOU DOWN or RELAX MY HOLD ON YOU (assuredly not).

This could not be any clearer. God is not against you, even when you fail. Even when all seems to be against you. God is actually planning for your best and there is never a situation where He is not 100% present and involved.

Paul encourages us to remember the leaders, the refer to pastors and preachers, those that ‘brought’ the Word of God. Follow their examples as they live godly, obedient and faithful lives. Remember that they are fallible humans. Never divert from the doctrine that Jesus is the only way. Don’t tolerate those that do.
