Summary of Sermon

The apostle Paul in 1 Cor 15: 19, says that if our hope in Jesus is for this life alone, we are most pitiful.

While on earth Jesus did many miracles, but He also raised the dead, John 11 (Lazarus0, the young man at Nain (Luke 7) and Jarius’ daughter. But he kept telling the disciples that he was going to die and then resurrect. This had to be done. The death was for our sins, the resurrection was for our eternity. Without the hope of eternal life, salvation is of no use. If we only have hope here, we have nothing.

But Jesus did rise from the dead and one day so will you and me. Some of us will be raised to new bodies and a new life in heaven and others sadly, without Jesus, will be raised to a new death and an eternity in Hell. Jesus is our only hope and we have hope because He was raised from the dead.
