Everything Is Going to Be Alright - Hebrews 10:18-25

Summary of Sermon


We seem to have bad news all around us. Our financials are strained, our marriages and relationships are strained, there are hard times for many people and so many people live their lives on edge. It can be difficult to remember that God is in charge; He has everything under control and that He has never been nor ever will be surprised by the things that happen. It is important for us to remember that God has everything under control, and everything will be alright; maybe not today or tomorrow, but eventually.


  • Verse 19, we can ‘boldly’ come to speak to Our Father. We are never intruding or interrupting something more important. Jesus died to give us access to The Father.


  • Verse 21, we have a ‘High Priest’, Jesus, who is always interceding on our behalf. You and I have at least one friend on our side at all times; we are never alone.


  • Verse 22, we have ‘full assurance’, in Jesus we are saved, our future us secure, no matter what happens here we have a home built for us. No one can take it from us.


  • Verse 23, ‘hold fast’ our confession, don’t let the trials and tests of life shake oy, remember that you are secure in Jesus, and in Him, by Him and through Him everything will be alright.


  • Verse 24-25, ‘stir’ let us encourage each other in good works and encourage each other to attend church. There we help each other and bolster each other around sound doctrine to obey the Lord. We can also encourage each other with the reminder that everything will be alright; in Jesus, we are going to win.
