Birth Place of the King Micah 5:1-9
Summary of Sermon
There are about 300 prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament. Last week we looked at 7 of them in Psalm 22, and today we will look at one in Micah. It is about where He would be born.
Bethlehem Ephrathah is where Jocab buried Rachel, we see that in Genesis 35. This is a special place and we see this prophecy fulfilled in Matthew 2, when the Magi come looking for the King of the Jews and the Scribes tell Herod that he will be born in Bethlehem.
Jesus fulfilled all of the prophecies about him, and in Psalm 22 and Micah 5, we find just 8 of them. There is clear evidence that God planned and preserved the birth of Jesus and as such, we can be confident in all of His prophecies; especially as we prepare for the end times.
