A House Divided Cannot Stand: Matt 12:24-30

Summary of Sermon

Jesus told us this in response to the Pharisees calling Him a son of the devil. Jesus makes it clear that Satan’s empire is not a divided kingdom. He is united in his effort to destroy. Last week we looked at spiritual warfare and we considered Eph 6: 10-12, ‘we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but against rulers in a dark place’.

There is a demonic and concentrated attack on the family, the Devil hates strong, godly men. Those who will lead their families to serve the Lord, Joshua 24:15. The devil hates reverent, godly women, who serve the lord, love their husbands and have children that they raise to serve, love and honour God. The devil hates children that are taught to love, serve and obey God. Satan is trying to divide our homes, making strong men dangerous, godly women to be out of touch and teaching our young children to hate God and how He made them. We need to stand on the truth, repeat the Word of God often and truly watch and care for our kids.
